The Challenge
Prensa Ibérica, one of Spain's largest media groups with 20+ regional newspapers and digital outlets, needed to upskill their newsrooms in artificial intelligence and prompt engineering. Journalists, editors, and content teams had no structured knowledge of how to leverage AI tools effectively and responsibly in their daily workflows — from content research and drafting to data-driven storytelling and audience analysis. The group needed a practical, hands-on training program tailored to media professionals, not engineers.
Our Approach
In collaboration with Upgrade Hub, we designed and delivered a specialized AI and prompt engineering training program for Prensa Ibérica's teams. The program covered foundational AI concepts, practical prompt engineering techniques for content creation, editorial workflows with LLMs, AI-assisted research and fact-checking, data analysis for newsroom insights, and responsible AI use in journalism. All sessions were delivered with real-world media use cases and hands-on exercises using the tools and platforms journalists work with daily.
